Here we are, at the beginning of September, trying to get back into our “regular routines”. Over the last 4 months it has been a bit of a bumpy ride.
We went from rumblings of a new virus, to being shut down completely for 2.5 months – only to re-open to a massive waitlist of new people wishing to join our school. Talk about a rollercoaster ride!!! We were one of the lucky ones to survive and come out on the other side better than we went in.
We have had a few people ask how we hold large classes (24ppl) in our gym while maintaining social distancing. Here’s how:
- We are a private school with a committed membership base. They too are committed to ensuring that our facility stays safe.
- We have a 2,200 square foot gym that can comfortably fit 24 people – each spaced with more than 6 feet to the next person – marked off by floor stickers.
- Our members trust us as we always have their well being at the front of all of our decision making.
In addition to surviving and being safe, we have now opened up an entire daytime cardio program developed by our very own Janine Van Beek – who is one of our top instructors and runs our women’s boot camps.
Janine has put together a dynamic schedule with classes for everyone. Strength and Conditioning classes, daily 30-minute drop-in Muaythai circuit, a Thai pads class as well as new Ladies only Boot Camps. You will not find this type of consistent daytime schedule for Muaythai anywhere in the lower mainland.
For our evening instructional classes, we have around 8 spaces left in each of our classes (Kids/Teen/Adult). Once those are filled, we will be on a waitlist. 😊
We will be posting weekly blogs moving forward, so make sure you come back and check them out!!
